Cabinet Door Chalkboard - Easy 5 Minute DIY!

Passing by the Menards clearance section, I spied this cabinet door marked down to $3 and thought it would be a good background for a DIY chalkboard. Little did I know how easy it would be...

It turned into a chalkboard in less than 5 minutes - and I didn't even have to pull out the paint brush!





Ever seen peel and stick chalkboard vinyl?





I had these sitting on a shelf down in my craft room for more than a year, not really having any plans for them - it was simple peel and stick!
If the cabinet door wasn't already painted, I would have used chalky paint to paint it before using either chalkboard paint or the vinyl for a chalkboard effect, especially since it is now hanging outside. Chalky paint is a great match for outside decor since it tends to be a bit rustic.
