I'm thrilled to have at least one room somewhat finished in our colonial fixer upper! Before this space was dirty, outdated and needed a good cleaning. Now its clean and crisp and has new life!
These before photos were taking the first day that we walked into our colonial to start the renovation process.
It was one hot, outdated mess!
We started by cleaning the room out completely. We stripped wallpaper, painted the trim a crisp white and added this dreamy paint color- Dove White by Benjamin Moore.
I framed out a large chalkboard from scrap wood that we had and added a shelf for displaying some of my favorite copper cookware.
A new light fixture completely changed the feel of the room. I scored this lantern pendant that normally retails for $460 for only $120 at the RH outlet!
The new jute rug and shelving complete the breakfast space.
My family loves spending time around the table. This space is cozy and perfect for us all to gather in.
