What is One Person's Trash...can Always Be a Piece of Artwork

I found an old beat up and rusty umbrella picnic table (top) in a junk pile one day. As an artist I saw this as a wonderful way to create a large piece of art for the wall.

I rolled the table top home, wet sanded it down with .22 grain sand paper until the majority of the rust was gone. Then gave it a coat of primer. After primer was dry - I donned my spray paint air mask and began to create.





I let the paint dry ever so often and then would paint some more, in this way building up dimension. I also used newspaper to add texture to the blue and green painted areas. To add stars before sealing the paint I splattered white paint over the surface.
Ta - Da! Wall Art from Trash.
