X Rays and Stain.... How Do They Come Together?

I take a photo of an image ~ mostly flowers, but I have attempted other items as well ~ and recreate it to it's x ray version using stain.

It all started with using stain as "paint" and this was my first piece I tried it with. I loved using stain as a shading medium on other pieces of artwork, so I decided to give it a whirl to use it on its own...

And then came the inspiration from some photo art I had bought about 10 years ago that still hang in my bedroom.
