I've read about how great chalk paint can be for surfaces other than wood. I've used it on metal with great success. I've heard of others using it on cloth upholstery, but how about vinyl? So last fall I decided to conduct a little experiment and I painted the vinyl seat on an old doctor's stool with chalk paint. I've used the stool quite a bit and so far it is holding up great. So when my husband dragged this ugly vinyl chair home for me, I decided to paint it as well.I used Annie Sloan's Provence and Old White on the vinyl ...And then painted the chair legs in Fusion's Copper metallic.I recovered the bottom of the chair in some vintage barkcloth. If you'd like more details about this makeover, or painting vinyl with chalk paint, check out my blog post!Original article and pictures take http://www.hometalk.com/14008133/painting-vinyl-with-chalk-paint site
