I purchased this mirror from a secondhand store, it was very simple. I wanted to add some color, fun and bulk to it. I managed to this by adding some colorful wood pieces, a thicker frame. The mirror is now a perfect addition to my entryway, brightening up the space and adding the much needed pop of color. Here is what I created.
This is what I started out with.
Along with a large piece of plywood, which I cut down to size to have about 2.3 inches of frame on either side of the mirror. This will allow the wood scraps to have two rows. I sanded down the scvraps.
I really enjoy redoing pieces, and turning a once overlooked mirror and making it become a standout piece. Using paint samples I had, scrap wood and a leftover plywood piece. It was low cost and simple to do!
